Our Mission
Here at Chimponauts, we are on a mission to help kids discover the joys of reading, learning about our Universe, the importance of perseverance and hard work, the future of Polkadot and web3, and of course a little about our wonderful cousins the chimpanzee.
About the Author
Hello, I am a British-born South Asian, forty-three years old and I work as a commodities trader in London. I live in Lewisham with my wife Maria and two rascal boys, Aram aged seven and Zubin aged five, and our cat Vader. I have loved Astronomy ever since I received a telescope for Christmas as a small child. I studied Astro-Physics at University, and while there, I found out about Karl Pilkington and Astro chimps. I wanted to write a story for my two boys conveying these passions.

Ham
Ham’s story spans the globe and into the reaches of space. Born in Cameroon in approximately 1957, Ham was captured and brought to a facility in Florida called the Miami Rare Bird Farm. In July 1959, Ham was transferred to Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, to be trained for space flight as part of Project Mercury.
